Sally McCandless - School Liaison

"As a teacher and as a parent, I saw how difficult learning to read can be for some children who are not taught in a phonics based program.  After seeing the progress that my oldest daughter made when she was taught Alphabetic Phonics (now Basic Language Skills, or BLS) by a therapist, I decided to become a therapist myself".

Besides teaching full time, Sally has worked at NEC since 1986 part time in various capacities: teaching staff, parent office, scholarship program, and now as school liaison for various programs. Sally has retired from teaching full time, so she  does have spare time to read, walk, travel, and enjoy her grandchildren.
