| Developing Vocabulary for Reading Success: I am going to try to use them (the strategies) all - I have already started using the semantic web and derivative web with my DMS lessons. I will add the Multiple-Meaning web next time I remember it in a lesson. I will use the ranking in DMS lessons - so far, I have just had the words on separate little cards for manipulations - the chart is good. I think I can use the fill in the Missing words as a good summative activity - maybe even grade since I have to find ways to provide some grades for my BLS students. I think concentration will be a fun way to get in more practice with morphemes (for me too). I am not sure about the word profile and the semantic feature matrix - I may try them - but I am always pushed for time - and I can see these two taking lots of student time to do them well. |
