Why give to the Reading Teachers Network?
Research tells us that implementation of new learning into teachers’ classrooms takes place at a much higher rate if there is follow up and support provided after the teacher professional development classes are offered. The limitations of time, distance, and resources make it impossible for Neuhaus Education Center’s teaching staff to provide follow up and support in each teacher’s classroom. But web-based technology provides us the vehicle for doing just that. Teachers tell us they have consulted as many as 32 different web sites for materials, answers, and additional activities for their classrooms. Neuhaus provides all of that and more through ReadingTeachers Network (RTN). RTN creates a networking community of teachers who share the same goals and dreams and face the same challenges and frustrations.
